Evanson Mwaniki

Chair, Founding Board Member

Evans is a Marketing Director of a global personal care brand. He has spent his
career having oversight on Brand Marketing, Distributor Sales Operations and
Business Operations Planning across several international billion-dollar brands in
the Fast-Moving Consumer Goods Industry spanning over 16 countries across
Sub-Saharan Africa.

He and his wife Liz have a son, Leo, on the autism spectrum. Leo was diagnosed with
autism in 2019. Evans is committed to changing the perspective of autism from what
is still considered a mysterious mental illness to a biologically definable and
manageable condition.

He is determined to help Kenyan families acquire appropriate services for their
children, while shedding light on the urgent issues facing the Kenyan autism
community.

Dr. Fiona Mwaniki

Fiona is a consultant in the agriculture, forestry and climate change sectors of
Kenya, with a big heart for children. She believes that every child is unique and
has something valuable to offer to the world.

She is committed to being part of a movement that creates a safe and stimulating
learning environment where children with special needs can thrive and develop their
full potential.

Her passion for working collaboratively with parents, caregivers, and special needs
practitioners to achieve the best outcomes for each child led her to join BCB
Foundation.

Michael Wachira

With an impressive 14-year tenure in the financial sector, Michael Wachira has held
various roles that span both management and specialized positions. He currently
serves as a Manager in a Multinational Bank.

Throughout his career, he has exhibited adaptability, dedication, and an unwavering
commitment to his roles. His extensive background in the financial industry
positions makes him a seasoned professional with a wealth of experience to draw
upon.

Robert Ndonga is a seasoned finance professional who has accumulated over a decade
of experience in various leadership roles spanning international markets.

With a background in financial management and strategic planning, he has
consistently demonstrated strong skills in financial statements, business planning,
and forecasting.

His leadership roles have taken him to diverse regions, including Sub-Saharan
Africa, the Middle East, and Asia-Pacific. Known for his ability to navigate complex
financial operations, he excels in project management and team leadership.

Currently based in Dubai, he continues to leverage his expertise in cash management,
variance analysis, and sales negotiation to drive success in his current role.

Robert Ndonga

Liz Gicharu

Founding Board Member

Liz is an experienced compliance advisor, having conducted reviews across Eastern
Africa and globally for a variety of institutions in the fintech, public, private,
and non-profit sectors.

Her experience equips her to implement robust frameworks as co-founder of the BCB
autism foundation, and to improve processes and governance. Liz has a passion for
supporting neurodiverse youth and is Mum to Leo who is on the Autism Spectrum. She
